Rusty is a native of Avondale Estates, Georgia. Rusty attended Emory University from 1967-1969 and The University of Georgia from 1969-1971 where he received his Bachelors Degree in Political Science in 1971. Rusty went on to attend the University of Georgia School of Law, earning his Juris Doctor degree in 1974. Rusty was admitted to the practice of Law in Georgia in 1974. After graduation, Rusty worked as the Assistant Director of the University of Georgia School of Law Office of Special Projects during 1974-1975. Since that time, Rusty has worked in private practice in Athens in solo practice from 1975-1978, as a Partner at Galis, Timmons & Quarterman from 1979-1982, and as a Partner at Scott, Quarterman & Wells from 1982-1999. In December 1999, Rusty formed and has served as President of Russell T. Quarterman, P.C., which in October of 2008 became Quarterman & Hodson, P.C., where he continues his practice.

Rusty has been admitted to practice law before all Georgia State and Superior Courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, and the United States Federal District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the United States Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.

Alec is a principal attorney at Quarterman, Hodson & Associates, P.C. Alec was born in Lajolla, California and moved to Athens,Georgia at age 1. Alec attended school in Athens and graduated from Athens Academy. He currently resides in Watkinsville, Oconee County, Georgia with his wife Brandi and three sons Simon, Tyler and Charlie.

Alec is a 1999 graduate of the University of Georgia Honors Program and of the University of Georgia School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA). From 1999 to 2001, Alec worked in banking and as a legislative aid to the Georgia General Assembly – House Transportation Committee. Alec earned his J.D. from The Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University and was admitted by the Georgia State Bar to the practice of law in 2003, joining the law firm of Russell T. Quarterman, P.C. Since that time, Alec has focused his legal practice in commercial and residential real estate closings and business transactional law, among other areas of expertise.  In 2008, Russell T. Quarterman, P.C. became Quarterman & Hodson, P.C., which became Quarterman, Hodson & Associates, P.C. in January of 2016.

Alec is an approved closing attorney for many local and national commercial, residential and other lenders and is an approved title insurance agent with Stewart Title Guaranty Company and Fidelity National Title Insurance Company. Alec is a member in goo

d standing of the State Bar of Georgia dispute resolution, creditor’s rights, real property and corporate law sections, the Western Circuit Bar Association, the American Land Title Association (ALTA), the Athens Area Association of Realtors, The Athens Land Trust, and The Oconee Land Trust. Alec also serves on the boards of, and as an invited speaker for many professional, charitable, civic and other groups and organizations. Alec serves as adjunct faculty teaching real estate law in the University System of Georgia ABA paralegal program at Athens Area Technical College and has provided approved credit continuing legal education for members of the State Bar of South Carolina. Alec was named as the 2009 Athens Area Association of Homebuilders Professional of the Year.

Alec is certified by the Georgia Supreme Court Office of Dispute Resolution as a civil mediator and has been admitted to practice law before all Georgia State and Superior Courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, and the United States Federal District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
