Russell T. Quarterman
Rusty is a native of Avondale Estates, Georgia. Rusty attended Emory University from 1967-1969 and The University of Georgia from 1969-1971 where he received his Bachelors Degree in Political Science in 1971. Rusty went on to attend the University of Georgia School of Law, earning his Juris Doctor degree in 1974. Rusty was admitted to the practice of Law in Georgia in 1974. After graduation, Rusty worked as the Assistant Director of the University of Georgia School of Law Office of Special Projects during 1974-1975. Since that time, Rusty has worked in private practice in Athens in solo practice from 1975-1978, as a Partner at Galis, Timmons & Quarterman from 1979-1982, and as a Partner at Scott, Quarterman & Wells from 1982-1999. In December 1999, Rusty formed and has served as President of Russell T. Quarterman, P.C., which in January of 2016 became Quarterman Hodson & Associates, P.C., where he continues his practice.
Rusty has been admitted to practice law before all Georgia State and Superior Courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, and the United States Federal District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the United States Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
